WordPress Meet HTML

Overview
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4

 First Step  is to create the new template specifically for integration into article HTML. Essentially, what we are interested are readers comment and feedback form only; less the header, footer and sidebar. For that I use single.php as the base for the new template. The new template is conveniently named z.php.

Template files can be found under
wordpress\wp-content\themes\[theme name] folder.

Following is the original single.php, renamed to z.php, and unwanted codes deleted.

<?php get_header(); ?>

<div id="content" class="widecolumn">

<?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>

<div class="navigation">
<div class="alignleft"><?php previous_post_link('&laquo; %link') ?></div>
<div class="alignright"><?php next_post_link('%link &raquo;') ?></div>
</div>

<div class="post" id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
<h2><a href="<?php echo get_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link: <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>

<div class="entrytext">
<?php the_content('<p class="serif">Read the rest of this entry &raquo;</p>'); ?>

<?php link_pages('<p><strong>Pages:</strong> ', '</p>', 'number'); ?>
